Why do old men grow big ears?

AS per the title really, i was just walking down the high street and i swear that a strong gust of wind would have blown the old fella coming the other way in front of a truck, such was the size of his ears.

I believe your ears are one of the only parts of your body that keep growing with age, so the older you get the bigger they get...

Not strictly true, noses seem to get "bigger" too.

....yup ears and noses.....and don't forget the bloody hairs that seem to grow out of them as well.....the joys of ageing.....sigh.
