Are these roller rockers any good or can somebody recommened some others ?

Want something that I can just replace the rockers not valve springs, etc. Something to give me a bit of extra lift - which apprantly can be done by changing the rockers wink

Can't say I like the bling but the specs seem good and the price is a bargain.

Or you can go to 1.85:1

Are you sure the little bit extra from rollers is all you want? Once you start things can get dangerous with the wallet..

It has been proved that replacement rockers arn't much cop at higher RPM's fine for standard though. Would be concerned about their higher RPM claims.

Allegedly not, if you believe what you read on forums about cheap rockers. But they say the same about cheap turbos etc.

some have concerns over weight and long term life when used in street applications aluminium rockers and seem to suggest titanium are a better option if somewhat expensive. still looks like a good deal for what you're getting, at least with current exchange rate they're only 120 quid or so plus carriage and import duty. of more concern is they sell the full set of rods, plates etc with what looks like that set of rockers and they come in at 389$ - may find you actually need to buy that set to fit those rockers so not such a good deal.

My 1.85 roller rockers induced valve bounce, FACT, so i changed back to stanard, it lost about 8bhp but picked up mid range by about the same, but it then revved clean to 7K. Got the dyno sheet somewhere. Just been there and done it, so sharing with you. Put a cam in it.

Yes but most blokes on here aren't going to be revving around 7k with their little cams. And there aren't any that I know of with your durations Paul.

Cant say Ive ever seen a titanium rocker...and wouldnt like to imagine how much a set would cost if they dic exist.

But I also wouldnt go buyng stuff off ebay, because it appears cheap. Im sure anyone who knows anything about ebay...would understand why.

I'd rather pay the little extra, for 100% tried and tested parts from 100% reliable sources.

That was on the 233/237 cam. But if you ever progress further they will be a retro step, valve bounce started at about 5800rpm and it made it hit a wall at 6200rpm.

Time to upgrade valve springs? But yeah lightweight rockers are good. The SLP 1.85:1 ones look like modified stock ones.

High lift rockers are mostly a band aid for the wrong camshaft.

Unless you need extreme lift for exanple, which only complicates matters.

Thats what I'm worried about !! hehe

Doesn't seem like its worth the fuss by itself does it ? Didn't realise they weren't much cop at higher rpm.........

Mine were fine to 6000rpm and because they are pretty much a DIY job are a cheap power upgrade.
BUT it depends what power you are after, if you just want to optimise the stock engine a little more they are an option.
The only reason why they might not be good at high rpm is because someone bought st rockers.
You want light weight ones with low MOA. The earlier YT ones were not such items. Afterall the guys who run 9000rpm engines certainly dont run stock rockers!

But they will run really high spring pressures and lightweight valves/valve gear. Mine were Comp Cam rockers BTW.

Yeah, true. As usual it depends on requirements as to whats best. Mine were good enough to beat everyone else's LS2's at the dyno day by at least 20rwhp. Were they good enough for 6500rpm+? I dont know I never went there smile

I'm running the new YT Ultralite RR's with Comp 918's and I have not had any experience of valve float and mine revs nicely all the way to 6800 no probs.(On stock valves mind) I am concerned however about the extra noseweight caused by the steel rollers when I come to use the AFR heads.
