Some are very fleet footed. Some not so much, I have one who will land on my lap with sufficient force to make me jolt......... I also have one who can get on my lap and you wouldn't notice her, until she decides she's really happy and starts the "walking" thing.... Claws and legs do not go well.......

My cat Buggli woke me up some years ago like that but accompanied by a weird noise....as I opened my eyes, he threw a massive furball up on my face!! eeewwwwwww!!
