C4 23;10 tonight.

Stand-up show from Sarah Silverman.

Worth a watch, you will either love or loathe it. Garanteed to be in poor taste though, which is always good.

Its not just you, she's rubbish. Her "shocking" style of humour isn't that shocking any more.

fking laughed all the way through, as I said either Love or Loathe.

Some of the comments had me in tears, the "Half Black pesismist?" bit was so so wrong but absomlute genius.

I found a few funny bits, probably ones I shouldn't have laughed at. Some of the audience laughter sounded nervous if you know what I mean, like they wanted to gasp in shock, but didn't want to be the "one with no sense of humour"

Her TV show was better, but that probably goes for lots of other stand up comics.

That's what Jewish comedians tend to do, probably not as many as Jackie Mason though.

Well they should change it, its not funny. Yes we get it they are stingy. Brilliant.

Same goes for Chris Rock, yes we know you like playing on the black stereotype, gangster druggy, gun packing crim. Make something new ffs.

I think if comedians catered for everyone there wouldn't be the need for as many so they cater for their own stereotype audience. So there's plenty of business to go round for everyone.

For example.
Sarah Silverman - jewish comedy
Chris Rock - black comedy
Jo Brand - fat comedy
Frankie Boyle - Scottish comedy
Noel Fielding - for people with no sense of humour.

No worse than Scottish comedians like Frankie Boyle and Fred Maculey who just go on and on and on and on and on and on about being Scottish. Yes we fking get it, you're Scottish. Ginger People, Heroin, trainspotting, Glasgow.... Ha ha ha.

I guess that people do comedy about stuff they know about - and to which people can relate them.
If you were white and middle class and started doing Chris Rock type stuff you would come across as a proper tt

Ok - moreso then. biggrin
Not a massive fan of Chris Rock by any means but his "I hate niggaz" routine was cutting edge in it's day - and very funny

As for the comment about trying her friends method of "birth control"

lick

And the favourite jewel

Sometimes though you wonder how people like her have the guts to stand up and do what they do, I'd worry about getting the st kicked out of me!
