I think the country is fine - the fact that the women don't have any rights (IMHO) is wrong...but it isn't her place to question (and insult) the hosts who were showing her around their great Kingdom.
I though the programme was very informative, but sometimes she just went too far and I felt for the guys she was laying into....she needs to a learn a little more respect for other peoples cultures....

Culture is an excuse for everything then? I though the programme was very informative, but sometimes she just went too far and I felt for the guys she was laying into....she needs to a learn a little more respect for other peoples cultures....

How amusing. I had to go to Google to find out what the feck you were talking about, and got this result:

How exactly does 'Saudi' look like 'Nude'?
Google uses your previous search parameters to recommend what you really want to find...

I turned it off in the end. The Sychophantic cow, with her nose so far up their backsides!
If there was no camera there, they's be stoning her for fun.
Another BBC waste of our cash. As if hanging out in bushes with Bill Fxcking Oddie wasn't enough of a wate of time and money...

Why? Saudi Arabia's regime is offensive to many inside the country as well as to us. I though the programme was very informative, but sometimes she just went too far and I felt for the guys she was laying into....she needs to a learn a little more respect for other peoples cultures....

I was working for a casting director. I had to find an actress to do a nude scene in The Secret Life Of Ian Fleming with Jason Connery. It wasn’t anything pornographic, they just wanted to film a scene showing a woman’s behind. It was my job to find an actress and I sent the director loads of girls. When we only had three actresses left, my boss told me to audition as well to make the numbers up. I think the director was so bored by the time I walked in he just said: ‘You’ll do.’ The next morning, my boss said he’d get me ten times what I was earning a week to do the part so I did it. Before we shot anything, the wardrobe man came to my caravan – I told him he must have the wrong person but he held up a triangle of brown material and said: ‘This is to stick over your front bottom, love.’ I sent him away. I didn’t think having that over my fluff would make much difference.
Sorry to lower the tone of such a serious thread on political comment, but the above line did make me chuckle.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
