If PH was to end up on one of the major block lists then it could disappear from a large number of offices around the country overnight, regardless of whether the individual users had the swear-filter on or off.
The swearfilter is not new and I do not see what you stand to gain simply by being able to read a few rude words.

It's called choice. I don't like being told what I can and can't read, especially so when the words that are filtered are NOT swear words. I must admit, one of the great things about the PH forums is (as has been alluded to) is the lack of avatars and sigs. This, of course, means that during work it just looks lie one is reading an e-mail (after scrolling quickly past the ads on the RHS of every thread).
However a post, or thread, with many swear words (words dictated by the incumbent swear filter) has a large number of red "marks" on the screen that will show that I am not reading an e-mail but browsing PH. Compare this with a local forum that I mod, which allows tt, bh, bullst. bks etc but which disallows the more extreme language examples.

I'm not asking to do with it as I please. I am asking to be allowed to read what has been written without having someone else decide for me what I can and cannot see. Really?So you think it would be fine and fully acceptable for the majority of PHers who work in the city, and large corporates, and companies around the UK, and WW, to suddenly lose access to PH at work, as it has become a blacklisted site?

Well, if you're not prepared to stop nannying us and deciding for us which words are "rude" can you at least fix the bloody thing so that it doesn't filter words that have no "rude" value whatsoever?
