Rage® Extreme Fluorescent Red

Can anyone point me in the right direction for photo's showing this colour? There are two images on the Rage Extreme (www.rage-extreme.com/gallery/fluorescent/index.asp) site but they're not very telling.

i'm considering this colour for a Tamora with anthracite wheels

Bear in mind you won't be able to go anywhere even vaguely incognito!!!!

Nice (if bright) colour, would want to see it on a car before taking the plunge myself.

I sold the Tuscan to buy a house. The reason for a Tamora is I want a full convertible - the Tuscan was brilliant, but I always missed the full open top exileration of the Chimaera.

Hmm, as the royal navy what they think of the colour, I think their SAR Helo's use it too!!!

I second that. I use flourescent materials at work, for emergency vehicle marking... Generally, a 2 year life is all you get at the best, with variable fading depending upon exposure to UV, so bonnets and roofs go quicker than the sides of vehicles.. However, if it just a very bright colour rather than a true flourescent, it may last much longer.

Several coats of a very good quality laquer should reduce the fading a lot. If the car is garaged and taken out for weekend drives then you will probably see no problems for a long time.

Not easy to find out though. A good quality one should have which is why I said that. I know the Nexa Autocolor (used to be ICI Autocolor) have high levels of quality UV absorbers and HALS in their laquers (generally the more it costs, the better it is - at the same VOC level that is).
