Oil Pressure gauge FSD

As it says on the tin.. er ok.
Got a Chim 430 '93 with 56k miles
It's got the black rimmed gauges
with the ignition of the oil pressure gauge sits below zero
when the ignition is live it goes FSD.
Am I right in suspecting the sender rather than the gauge itself
If it's not that simple is there a way to test the gauge etc

Had the wheel off the other day to replace the pads.
And I saw what I assume to be the sender (next to the Oil Filter)
Anyways it has 2 connectors on it, which appears to be correct for the black rimmed gauges
but only one has a wire going to it,
Does anyone know (Griff 430 owners?) if this is correct, maybe needs connected to the other connection
or if it dioes need another wire, where do they come from so I can track them down
