iv got a problem with overheating every thing seemed to point to the water pump, i removed it and it seems like the backing plate to the water pump has corroded bad, has anyone else had any problems with the water pump?

I don't know about the backing plate, but earlier versions of the V6 had problems with the plastic impeller breaking up. More recent ones use a metal impeller.

To have severe corrosion like that would make me suspect it's been run without enough anti-freeze for an extended time. There could well be similar corrosion in the rest of the cooling system, which would reduce heat transfer to/from the coolant.
