Been under car, but nothing obvious!

On my 4.5 the sump plug was around 3/4 of an inch across with a square hole for removing it, cant remember if i HAD to remove the undertray as it was off anyway, a standard ratchet will fit in there great to undo it. If you look from pass side to drivers side underneath you will spot it

See the plug near the bottom of the photo? With the copper washer in it. Just onder the hose, protected by the blue silicone hose cut out.

it's probably the Oil pressure switch, which (IIRC) is situated right in the V of the engine under the coil packs!!

Have you got oil pressure on the gauge?

The switches do fail.

Bit of an arse to get too as well.

yes Did mine yesterday. Not only an arse to get to, but you also need a 26mm socket. Why do all socket sets go 23mm, 24mm.... 27mm.... Added an hour to the job tracking one down...

Sure it wasn't a one inch socket? (25.4mm)

Could well be, but didn't have one of them either and the local factors only had metric on the shelf. Came out ok though. smile

Have got pressure. Went for a drive yesterday & the light was flickering and actually went out for a while! Back on again now though!? Got oil leaking through air box pipes again too!!!!!?? Oil level ok on dipstick. Perhaps old oil coming out from when I first had the problem!? Any ideas? Thanks.

That to me sounds like a bad electrical connection.
