This years onions have been a great success. I lfted them a couple of weeks ago and they are drying nicely.

Can I now manure the same bed and plant leeks in there or do the rules of crop rotation mean that I should plant something else instead?

I thought that said suggestive planting... I was going to suggesting planting in an onion-leek-onion arrangement frown

In theory you should move on to brassicas (though you should also be liming the soil - not a good idea at the same time as manuring). You could try some Spring Cabbages, though it's a bit late and I'd certainly get them germinated indoors.
But for a catch crop, a quick run of leeks shouldn't be a problem. Manure now. When the leeks come out, lime and plant maybe broccoli in the Spring?
