Speed 6 rebuilds

Seems to have gone very quiet recently as regards rebuilds.

Presumably those early engines that were going to need one have had them by now.

That just leaves the rest of us who will probably not need one before 100k miles.

My Tam has done 29k and still sounds great and uses no oil.

Does everyone feel that this is no longer an issue?

good post nfisher perhaps we could do an updated pole on our speed six engines with no rebuilds !

1)nfisher 2004 tamora 29,000 miles using no oil running fine
2)kcc 2004 tamora 32,500 miles running fine
3)overseas 2005 sagaris 45,000 miles
4)pyney 2004 tamora 21,000 miles using no oil running fine

May or may not be something in this, not sure, but I wonder how many owners there have been for each of the S6 TVRs that have done high mileages with no rebuilds? Our Tam has done over 23K in more than 6 years (03 plate), no problems, using no oil. We've had her since new, and always taken great care of her.

I was wondering whether the owners who have had their S6 TVRs for some time look after them better (ie warm up the engines 'properly') than people who only have them a short time, perhaps push them harder, then sell them?

I obviously don't want to generalise here, as I would not for one second believe that this would be true generally, but what do people think? Could there be a correlation?
