Lucid dreaming
Discussion
If you could would you not just spend all of your life asleep?
Imagine thre was a product which would enable you to choose your own dreams, why would you ever want to face reality? I mean what would you rather have, another humdrum day at work or the chance to win an F1 race then celbrate with Girls Aloud afterwards?
I know what option I'd choose!

I have had lucid dreams in the past - Pretty cool stuff, although it doesn't happen very often
When I am in a dream I can subconciously remember going to bed and falling asleep, therefore I realise that what I am 'seeing' is fictitious. From thereon I can control what I do, but have little control over what I am dreaming of ...
Sleep paralysis sometimes follows lucid dreaming, but I've never experienced this. Sounds quite scary!

Why rush?Whenever I try to drive a car in a dream it's always too small and I have to try to insert my hands and feet through the windows. I suppose this means something!
Another recurring car dream I have is that I've forgotten where I parked it and wander around for what seems like hours and never finding it.

In an old book by Carlos Casteneda, I read some s
t about remembering to know that in a dream, when you see your hand that you won't wake up and you can do what you like. It's a kind of self hypnosis, I imagine.
I did it a few times and got to the whaheeey, there's my hand, now I can do what I like. For one reason or another, you get about a few minutes and then black out. That was my experience anyway.
