Is there any "say" off the shelf uprated cams for the cerb 4.5, if so where from and are they worth it ? as it will be going in for a remap some time so could put them in at the same time or even before
there's a few different cams available , early, late, very late (avoid) and tuscan race and perhaps a few more. I can't say I've seen any difference between any of them apart from the very last cerbs which are about 20hp down on the rest.
I have been told that mine has 4.5 cams in it (its a 4.2), is there much difference between the two? I don't know 100% either way, its a little sketchy and no proof either way...
I'd be interested to know too. The previous previous owner told me that mine had uprated cams (its a 4.2) and was discovered running a 4.5 map which made it run like a sack of sh*t. Now replaced with a std 4.2 map its much better, very lumpy and noisy at idle though
For later engines I doubt there is any diference between the cams as it seems they were all 4.5s anyway. The only thing changed between the 4.2 and 4.5 was the badge and the throttle bodies.
