S3 225 8L questions

Hi all. One of the cars i'm considering next is a 225 S3. They seem practical, comfortable and quick enough. Would love an S4 V8 but can't justify the cost.
Can anyone advise me of servicing costs? Also, are there any particularly weak points to the car and what will this cost at an indy to fix?
Budget will be £8k. Will be doing a remap to 260 bhp with revo or AMD (or anyone else that is supposed to be good). May also look into a Haldex controller as I would love less understeer.
Which tax band are they in, I presume it's £260 PA?
Finally, I'd love the Bose upgrade but if I can't find one with this, what's the standard stereo like?
