Bit of a damp and minging day but loads of action...and talent!

This got me running for cover! Got splattered in stones but got the shot!

Stunning BDA Engined escort was my favourite of the day

Colin.

fantastic pix as usual from power-images, Manio is the man after that roll after the red flag came out, glad the wee fella was okay. we never saw it from the inside of clarks as we were too busy watching the aftermath of the mini crash that causedthe red flag at railway. only when the lads on the outside whistled and pointed we saw the car on its roof

cheers to all the team at 6 (clarks) for the graft they put in, we worked as a team when cars were flying everywhere

Yip it was... Cheers for comments

TT but as similar to GT2 now, gone RWD now and using same box, with additional oil cooler, steel syncros, lsd, cup car cables, etc, etc

Seeing as its been a week with no comment. Doesnt this illustrate PH's brilliant double standards?

Certain Lamborghini hit the tyre wall in that exact place after it stepped out under acceleration, running slicks and clipping a damp kerb. Driver lambasted.

Loia was too busy watching his mirrors to turn in to the corner (what he said openly about it over the PA) and the incident occured when the red flag had already been deployed. No venting of spleens on the issue.

"Absolutely" classic laugh

For the record, I chalk both up as racing incidents from people who clearly enjoy motorsport and dont mind pushing hard thumbup

Looking forward to the next race day although looks like I might have to miss it with work commitments since its a saturday.

last time I checked though the mini's don't have slicks, 4WD or 520bhp biggrin

Aboslutely agree

Should be lambasted from highest for lack of talent to much money etc

And especially his honesty for admitting his mistakesmile

Some folk have been very quiet of late

The Lambo driver is a 'character' I believe, may be why there was so much talk about him.

Also dissapointed not to see the AG Focus's at an SMRC meeting.

Nah it was mainly the fact "absolutely" not wanting to go on a diet so he could be competitive in the one make races and it was unfair cause everyone had faster cars than him in sports and saloons yet it wasn't an issue when his dad had the "fastest car on the grid".

i dont give 2 hoots if the lambo driver has 6 fingers on each hand and is shagging kate moss he is on the racetrack and deserves some respect, believe me he does show it to us marshals, but i did notice the lack of frothing about manio's incident compared to ian's. the main thing is that both drivers escaped in 1 piece. also those kerbs on the outside of duffus are mega slippy, almost lost my footing walking to mcintyres on the saturday of btcc

there will be questions as to how manio went that far as there is a lot of grass before that tyrewall and my opinion (yes that is what forums are for having a good spout, and this is my own opinion) is that a load of gravel needs to be laid there to take some of the speed out of the cars, if there was gravel 6 inches deep then manio and ian probably wouldnt have reached the wall, only danger is that if someone arrives in the kitty sideways they roll but it should be a softer roll.

I can't remember people going over / ending up on that tyre wall before it was extended back a bit.

Knockhill have modified that precisely for accidents like the Mini but it seems to be working the other way.

Did someone say my name?

Different driver, different car, I believe.

AMD, Dad never had the quickest car on the grid, ever.
