The Grim Reaper
Discussion

At just about the same time i got my latest car, I spent far far too much time on the works intraweb site......mainly sparring with this nutjob cycle-o-mentalist who spouted all manner of environmentalist stuff (fair enough, he has an opinion and I respect that, much that I disagree with the vast amount of what he posted)
Now, being the owner of a sports car, we didn't really see eye to eye....and it was a sad day when he left. On his leaving day he started about 30 threads all slagging me off.
Roll on seven years or so, and me and the missus have started cycling. Me because of my back and generally it would be nice to get a bit of fitness back now we have hit our 40's.
I just googled to find some local cyclepaths, and low and behold the 'grim reaper' I knew of old is writing articles for public consumption.
Enjoy one and all:

I just read two of his articles....and fook me he hasn't changed

He's now claiming to have 'global coverage' of his views....I'm guessing that claim may well now come to fruition when people read a few of his 'opinions'

Having come across a few of these types in earlier years, and after applying a little logic, brainpower and intellect to their case, my conclusion was (and remains) that they are 'sad losers' largely living in a fanciful Utopia paid for the rest of us - not least from the tax on petrol.

Look at his 'driving a car makes you blind' bulletin. How much logic/brainpower and intellect went into that then?

I'm not even going to waste time looking; my piss doesn't need boiling. But as very little they say actually adds up, you then have to look at their motives, and then you can roll it all up under the title of 'sad losers'. QED.How much logic/brainpower and intellect went into that then?

Of course if Mr Looney hadn't failed his driving test, it could have been so different

Quite so.I'm sure that they would not be so keen on the reality of a world without the things they despise.
Having an internet, for example, requires a level of technological sophistication and industry which is simply incompatible with the borderline subsistence farming existence these people would like to foist upon us.
The high quality (yes, even on the NHS) health care of which they undoubtedly avail themselves only exists because we are a highly developed, technologically advanced, industrial nation.
I really do wish they'd just flog their houses and buggar off to Africa and live in the bush, if they want to live in a nice, carbon-neutral, yoghurt-weaving way. It'd be so delightfully ethnic for them.

The price we pay for living in a so-called democracy is that we have to support them, even if they wish to destroy the rest of us. I think the phrase is 'fifth column'. Shooting them seems a little harsh, but perhaps they could be made to do something useful - like sweeping the streets. Can someone shoot this up his own arse piece of dog crap now please, have only read about two paragraphs and I am fit to burst. This arrogant dim witted piece of junk seems to think he is gods gift to the world and the most enlightened individual since buddha. Let me quote a couple of his insights.
"It takes a lot to alarm the Grim Reaper after years of revealing the endlessly imaginative ways in which the car has spread death, despondency and destruction in its wake. When the Grim Reaper is alarmed, the world worries. Let me tell you, dear lemmings, I'm very alarmed indeed."
Oh yea the entire world is on a knife edge waiting for your next words of wisdom you fukwit.
The following could only be thought up by someone that is one step away from the loony bin
"Time will no doubt prove the Grim Reaper right, (as on many previous occasions), that driving is not only a type of self abuse, but that it will also make us all go blind."

It would appear that their is an entire organization full of fukwits like this guy, I think we should all make the effort to sign up to their site and tell them where to stick their car free world.

They contribute to global warming and the ozone hole. They kill 4000 people violently and poison another 10,000 to death each year. They injure 300,000 people and squash millions of reptiles, birds and small mammals annually. They cause asthma, heart disease, and bronchitis, but most of us, being of a forgiving nature, still love them dearly. What are they?
