I listen to (and love) Chris Moyles - he must be doing something right, today he overtook Tony Blackburn's record as the longest running Radio1 breakfast show.

Interesting that Chris Evans will get another breakfast show - he had the Radio1 one many years ago (which was succesful at the time) but then he got weird.

Tel couldn't do it for ever, though, I guess.

Chris' show in the evening gets great reviews - although it's only 2 hours I think, he's hit right at the point of the Wogan listeners for the evening slot, so he's a logical choice to replace him.

Heard this this morning as well.

Hopefully he'll come back once a week to read "Janet & John"

I just find him really annoying - I just wish he would slow it down a bit and try to make longer sentences rather than sounding like someone revving a FS1E with an expansion box all the time.

It does indeed.

Evans has too much energy for a breakfast show. I remember listening to his last show on Radio1 (on my way to school!) quite a few years ago. Radio 2 listeners need something a little bit gentle to ease them into the day.

On another note, not wanting to wish ill on anyone, but isn't it nice when Sarah Kennedy is off sick.

It will be interesting to see how Chris Evans handles being back on breakfast, I think he's done alot to redeem himself as a respectable DJ over the last few years.

Oh and Chris Moyles hasn't been entertaining in years... these days the whole show is just about him blowing smoke up his own ass.

I'm glad Wogan is leaving TBH. He might have been ok about 50 years ago, but he makes me turn the radio off, not on.

And don't even get me started about that lunatic women that precedes him, Sarah Kennedy.......

Yes it is.

Sad Terry is going but he is over 70 now and Chris Evans has done well with the evening show.

Not my cup of tea, though I do listen to him as and when (he's only on Saturday's I think?!) but I can see he has a place on Radio1 and why he fits in well there.

I grew up listening to Chris Evans so I'm glad he is back. Good replacement for Wogan imo.

+1. She drive's me fecknig spare.

Pity Terry's going, but as someone said, you can't go on forever. End of an era indeed. Evans is ok - his drivetime show is alright and he'I find him less irritating compared to his R1 era.

I'd cut both their vocal chords

Sorry that Terry's going. I like chris Evan's on drivetime but agree he'll need to tone it down a bit for breakfast.

Any word on who'll get Drivetime. Hopefully not Stuart Maconnie. Bring back Johnny Walker !

Same here. I can't stand Wogan and refuse to listen to it. In fact, I refuse to listen to R2 before 2pm when Wrighty comes on.

Evans coming in is good news. Now they just need to get rid of that scum-sucking-cockface Jeremy Vine and we'll be getting somewhere.

The only downside of this is that Simon Mayo will be taking on the drivetime show. He's filled in for Evans on his holidays and I really don't remember him being quite that shoite back in his R1 days frown
