WATER LEAK!!!!!!

NOTICED WATER IN THE DRIVER SIDE FOOTWELL (CARPET IS WET) ALSO ON THE CARPET AT SIDE OF THE SEAT!!
ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!!!

Couple of things, could be coming through the floor where the panels are rivetted on to the chassis, could be dripping down from the heater matrix if that has a problem.

Sounds like water ingress through a leaky floor.
Take a look underneath at the floor pan, you'll see a row of rivets, or lack of, following the line of the cabin floor where it fixes to the chassis.
Typically the rivet heads corrode and fall off leaving the aluminium sheet to come partially away from the chassis allowing water to get in and soak the carpet etc...

I've got used to it. VAX is a regular occurrence until I sort the floor. Common problem, along with the A/C unit leaking behind the centre console.

I had the whole floor off last week to sort this problem, and refitted it with sealer and self drilling anti rust/corrosion screws that have a large head diameter but are quite flat. These are great to use and go up nice and tight. Used these into the box section then rivets and washers into the seat sections as the screws might be too long.

Also best to sort it out ASAP otherwise im sure it will cause further problems?!

It was done under warranty but was a crap job so I have done it myself this time.
I have just sorted it out so..... what further problems ?

Don't forget to check the rear screen seals, it is commonplace for water to leak here and drip down the bulkhead and soak the carpets.
