Everything I have heard about the man suggests to me that his American experience has done little or nothing for his PR skills when the cameras aren't turning.

But then I am biased as I find The Office turgid.

The man's a genius. The Office is easily the best thing that's been on TV in many, many years.

I'm genuenly shocked that people have this opinion.

I've been a big fan since he was on the 11 o clock show and loved the office & extras. My mate is 1000 time bigger fan though, would be nice if I could arrange something.

The annoying/bizarre thing is he saw him walk past our office about 2 weeks ago.

The guy is definately Marmite. I think he is a ball bag personally. The highlight of his career has been doing a silly dance in an office setting...

The Office was utterly, embarrassingly awful. Kept hearing all the hype so I watched 2 episodes in case the first was just one-off dire, completely devoid of humour.
Just my opinion of course but it's nice to throw back!

Certainly helped if one had worked in an office at some point. I now dont & dont miss it one bit, that show brings it all back.

I'd disagree; maybe he was just playing up to it, which is a big part of his act/persona

If you watch the extras outtakes, you'll see that he's abit of an idiot with a very high sense of humour...but happens to also be a genius.

I would disagree with this also. He's sayed before on interviews he isn't at all like this. He sayed he would or did feel scared to send something back in a resteraunt for the very reason he might be seen as this 'do you know who I am' type.

Office UK is OK,

The USA version of the office however is on a completely different level and easily my favourite TV show of all time.

His podcasts with Karl Pilkington are quite amusing but I think he does seem to have a bit of the bully in him. His laugh, which is WAY over the top, is immensley annoying though.
