Tinned stewing steak in gravy
Discussion
My wife's grandma died the other day and she brought back a couple of tins of these from her granny flat when they were clearing out.

I tried them in a risotto and they were 'orrible, but popped on top of a hot dog with ketchup and I could have been standing next to the burger bar at a motor racing circuit
Regards
Andy

Don't knock it - it is emergency food, however i bought this and ate it at a festival a couple of weeks back and it was thoroughly delish!

ETA: i may have been slightly inibriated at the time

I'm trying to use up tins of food to free up some cupboard space, and I have two of these...

Now I'm sure many of you will suggest just binning them! But does anyone have any other ideas what I could do with them (i.e. cooking ideas please!)
Ah yes, quality tinned beef, about 80% meat if I recall?

In a pyrex bowl wiv chopped onions, glug o' red wine, salt n' pepper, cook along side ur supermarket pie.
It evens up the pastry/filling ratio, and you get 3 portions out of the lot, well, for me anyway! A great standby.
