E61 Self Levelling System Failure!!

535D bumpy at the back and self levelling message on screen.

Can hear rear compressor running after switch off as it tries to get to pressure (I assume)

Is this sort of thing normally a leak/split hose or terminal and expensive?

All answers opinions gratefully received-especially ones saying it should only be cheap.
