Just thought I'd get this one logged ahead of time so I can say "told you so".

I know the 9/09/2009 thing has been mentioned before, but say something was to happen on Wednesday, something to disrupt the whole country, similar to 9/11. I'm thinking something taking out a certain significant building in the docklands, or maybe an oil refinery.

Perfect excuse to invoke the civil contingencies act and delay the general election... Of course, by the time everything is back to normal, Winky will be seen as a hero by the Daily Mail reading underclass and stay in power for a further term.

Don't say you haven't been warned.

Am off to don the tin foil hat, see you on the otherside tumbleweed

Swine flu vaccine causing pandemic / mystery terrorists blowing up something big in the smoke (bridge, buck palace, olympic buildings) which would of course add positive reinforcement to the one eyed tramps wafflings about afghaniraq.

Or

Regardless of any external incident and the Gummint's response to it, I don't think Broon will ever be regarded as a hero by anyone, not even his own wife and kids on their most forgiving loving and sympathetic days, let alone Daily Mail readers.

Just so I can say "I told you so", no significant events occured on the 2nd of February 2002, 03/03/03, 04/04/04, 05/05/05, 06/06/06, 07/07/07 or the 8th of August 2008.

As much as I disagree with the current governing power, what if something genuinely happens on any historically significant date? Are they supposed to ignore it? If they don't invoke a civil act and launch every air force wing then at least 4 national papers will criticise them, as well as the Beeb. Every conspiracy theorist would quickly enjoy a joint orgasm, actually that would happen no matter the date; Search a number and a Month on Google and you will find a significant date.
