Cheap things to do for a weeks holiday
Discussion
I'm going to be taking a weeks holiday in October as I've got the days to use and will be too busy between Jan and Apr to take time off then.
Since I'm saving at the moment I'm looking to spend as little as possibe but do some fun things in the days I've got free. I could just go "back home" and drink most nites and cavort the local delicacies... but would like to do something random.
Any ideas on what I could do that won;t break the bank?
Cheers

In a similar situation my random trips over the past 2-3 years have included:
- Week in a caravan on Cumbrian coast
- Camping and walking trip in the Lake District
- Weekend in London staying in a cheap hostel
My other favourite is a driving trip somewhere and either find somewhere cheap to stay or even camp!
My final suggestion is to search all the low cost airlines and see what offers they have on. You'll often find somewhere random in Europe where it is stupidly cheap to fly to and spend a few quid on a hostel. For example Sicily flights for a quid per person including taxes
