Daughter worked for bar. Had a good working relationship with owner. Did extra work in other establishments owned by him.
Sacked for giving half price drinks to close friend of owner after seeing owner doing the same, and being bullied into doing it by the close friend.
Owner is refusing to give over any payments due, including work done on other establishments as extra work from a few weeks ago.
Any ideas if she has a leg to stand on regarding getting a bit of money off the scumbag?

Oops - in wrong place. Sorry Mods.

If it's money she was owed for work already done then I don't see how the owner has a leg to stand on.

She will be entitled to the value of her work done (though the boss could possibly set off the costs of the drinks she gave away) up to the point at which her employment was terminated.

She is entitled to nothing, gross misconduct and the very least, criminal theft at the far end of the scale.

I've been doing some digging and amongst other things, I've discovered lack of contracts, being paid as casual labour off the books and withholding tips from staff. This applies to most staff working there. Could get interesting. I may take this off line, so to speak.
