Does anybody know what is happening with the Mito GTA if it is going into production or not. I need a new car and was going to hang on an extra year to get a GTA.

I heard a rumour that it had been cancelled due to these tough economic times but over on alfaowner, everyone mentions it in the present tense so it should be coming? Heard it was next summer though!

I have a mate that works within the Fiat group, they are still coming about six months down the line, no discounts available apparently.

I would not bother with a MITO, I had one for week in Italy and did over a thousand miles, one of the worse cars I have ever driven.

The pedals are angled to the right so it seems that you are sitting sideways, seats are very uncomfortable, very bulky first gear.

And those are just the good points.

I tried to exchange for another car, but they offered me a Lancia Musa, which IS the worst car in the world.

i assume english ones are very different then as ours is very comfy, but i have heard a lot of complaints about the ride so take for a test drive.

i had heard that the gta had been cancelled but dealer states this is not the case however they also have stated some fairly scarily wrong info to me so dont take as read!

only thing i really dislike about the mito is the strange relationship between accelerator and engine!

What about an Fiat 500 Abarth or the Abarth Ferrari if u want something abit more special. Im not sure and u might know better than me, but are they built on the same running gear as the Alfa.

btw the relationship between the engine and the accelerator pedel is because of the Multi-Air isn't it?

maybe but i thought the multi air engine was a new engine not yet released ( i am basing this on nothing apart from the evo article which appeared to imply this). would possibly make sense though as finding a significant difference in mpg between the normal setting and the dynamic setting which stops the engine response delay. does anyone know for sure, if not i will ask alfa poss monday.
