Stupid Ebay Bint potentially ruined my weekend....
Discussion
For f
ks sake, stupid f
king people on Ebay I swear I am never using it again
I ordered a Bestival ticket from a woman on Ebay 2 weeks ago, there was a delay while she was waiting for it to arrive but she said she would send it Next Day Delivery and charged me accordingly
She has sent it Recorded Delivery not Next Day, it still hasnt arrived and there is a Postal Strike in my area (Central London) tomorrow. I am booked onto a ferry Thursday evening so I now have to wait to see if it arrives Thursday morning, if it doesnt I have to try and buy another ticket on Thursday and then raise a dispute with Paypal to get my original money back
If she f
ks up my weekend will I be able to claim for the Ferry ticket I have paid for as well as the camping equipmment I have bought specificall for this event?
f
king Retard!!!!

king Retard!!!!An interesting dispute - because if it turns up you do have the goods you paid for, even if they are now useless. I doubt very much that there's a delivery time criterion under 14 days.
ETA: My Post Office says that the only way to be sure of next day delivery is to use Special Delivery, because that's done by the managers if the workers are revolting.

There is. There is even an example in the dispute console for it. i.e. Good useless (out of date tickets etc)Don said:

If you paid for Next Day and she sent Recorded (which is presumably cheaper?) then you would indeed have a dispute. I presume. IANAL!!
Thats my theory, i paid £4.95 for Next Day and as said above that would have been fine, so its her loss and will cost her £150 if it doesnt turn up, but the aggro of having to buy another ticket at the last minute is what i would rather avoid.I have to ask IANAL??

reidy - do you need another ticket?
spoke to a mate who can't make it and has one for sale
I've just arranged to buy one from a woman in London Bridge tomorrow, I have no idea on checking for the authenticity though which is a concern, this one is at £110 how much is your mate selling for?spoke to a mate who can't make it and has one for sale

How much did she charge? Recorded is about £1.30 for a <100g letter and the cheapest SD is £4.60p.
She charged me 4.95 for P&P, as you say I think recorded is around £1.30, if it doesnt arrive in time this will be the basis of my dispute with Paypal that if she had sent it as she had charged it then this wouldnt have happened.I am still hoping it arrives on Thursday morning, but we will see...

Sorry, but if something matters, don't buy it on ebay???
Appreciated, but I bought some other things from there on the same day and not a single issue, genuine orgainsed people who dispatched the items forthwith and in the correct method.Unfortunately for a sold out event I had a choice of Ebay or Gumtree, I took what i thought to be the lesser of 2 evils, i am just amazed as by trying to save herself £3 she has potentially cost herself £150....
