Radio ! - Edith Bowman

Now I'm probably much too old to be listening to Radio 1 and should convert to Radio 2. Most of the Radio 1 dj's are pretty good and the music isn't bad. But why can't Edith bloody Bowman say one sentence without Eh! in it?

If I could be bothered, I'd count them up for the whole show and mail her Eh Eh!!

Personally I'd like to have Edith Bowman transported to some dim and distant place, ideally along with Fearn Cotton and Reggie something or other. And Sara Cox. So that I never have to listen to any of their horrible whiney voices ever again.

The DJ's aren't too bad, Scot Mills is quite amusing from time to time. Its just the recycled pop tripe that they play which drives me up the wall.

I hate shows like Fearne and Reggies where they actively encourage idiots to phone them up and talk about what they are doing! As my iPod connector doesn't currently work I have switched to using 5Live! And I'm only 23 ffs!

We're trying to listen to R1 for the first time in ages. Only a couple of minutes ago one of our mechanics, a polite, well spoken fellow, said: "If I ever met Edith Bowman I honestly would hit her in the face", so he's enjoying her show, clearly...

Some of the DJ's are OK. Agree with Scott Mills (but that 'Chappers' is way too big for his boots, and what is the point of 'becky'???)

Nihal is OK (bit wet at times).

Sara Cox has improved massively, and I can now listen to a whole show without throwing the radio against a wall.

Greg James seems to be OK.

It was a shame they got rid of 'Nemone' (or did she leave?) - she was one of the best DJ's they ever had.

Just googled, "Edith Bowmans boobs", look alright to me, it's downstairs that looks a bit weird!!

I agree though she annoys the hell out of me. Quite like Sara Cox, didn't used to though she's got alot better over time.

Things improve in the evening imo - they need to find a way to clone Zane Lowe (and stop him from singing!) I can see how some would find him annoying but he plays more obscure and decent stuff, not just picking from the daytime list of what seems to be about 30 songs on shuffle.

Annie Mac and Sara 'guess how long before I mention my boyfriend/dog/kid/how-I-got-drunk-and-did-something-stupid ad infinitum' Cox are both

Not a huge fan of Zane Lowe, but he is a lot better than Steve Lamacq, and the thing he did when he phoned his agent/manager and tried to shoe-horn in as many 'Girls Aloud' song titles was very funny indeed.


Off topic, but I nearly ran Sara Cox over in London once...
