BMW 635 csi speedo problem

Hi,

I am renovating a 1982 BMW 635 csi, however, the speedo does not seem to be working. The rev counter does and I am wondering what it could be, can anyone help please?

He means, are you still looking at it parked in the garage?

Check the sender in the diff. I guess it'll be this, i don't think BMW used cable speedos for many years.

Find the tacho pulse wire and check for for a pulse there, that should tell you if it's the sender or the actual dial mechanism
