I do like the front of the car now, very VZ Monaro with the nostals

The rear will take a little getting used to and I think a little sad looking!!

Nice though

Please tell me it's April 1st - the front and back end bumpers look shocking...almost like a cheap photoshop that is going to become reality...

Yeah the pics have been out for a while. Poor Holden has loads of old G8 parts spare to get rid of.
I think there is a special edition SS with similar bonnet.

Anyway not many changes, just an LS7 clutch standard and a mild tune for the GTS version.

I like the autoup window feature and maybe the adjustable stability control. Though on or off is fine for me.

I wonder if they are bringing it over here. I heard suggestion Jan10 some more would arrive. We will see. I guess Holden would be happy to dump some off cheap over here if they could.

Interesting...

"HSV says a major goal of the E2
development program was fuel consumption
reduction, and the result is a ClubSport
R8 manual that is more effi cient than the
100kg-lighter, LS1 V8-engined VY Series
II ClubSport.
The ClubSport R8 automatic achieves the
highest effi ciency gain, with its combined
average fuel consumption of 13.9L/100km
being 4.5 per cent better than before."

Some nice new technical changes, attention to small detail changes like auto up windows, 3 stage stab control (not that I use it in my car anyway normally), launch control etc etc etc........the front bumper design could grow on me MAYBE but the rear.........no way, not digging that at all im afraid.

I had already planned getting a custom made twin nostral bonnet so nice to see that on the E2 even if they are not quite the way I had planned them smile

I actually think the back is ok but the front has too much going on. How many lights can they possibly fit to that thing????

yep first thing I'd do is buy a can of spray paint and cut the wires that feed the lights, quick spray over them and then it might not look like something from Ripspeed. No forget that - front bumpers always going to be a disaster. Reckon I could get used to the rear if push came to shove. Wonder if the old VE SS bumper would fit on the front....

looks utterly wk, the audi lights are a stain of design and should be avoided not added. The rear end looks like a 1980s arcade game and the nostrils, they looked ste on teh monaro and they look utterly ste on this. The cars just too busy. Sort of thing someone that shops in Elizabeth Duke might find appealing

Yep the result is far too busy. Looks like they walked into various showrooms, stole a few bits, tacked them on and expected the result to look good. The larger exhaust pipes on the white car look particularly tacky.

Mind you the launch control, tyre pressure monitors and auto-up power windows in the new spec are all things I thought should have been fitted originally. I know why they weren't now!

launch control translates in English to "Chew your drive train".

Tyre pressure monitors = waste.

The design looks like the Homer:
