Silencer that silence
Discussion
I've recently had fitted Racing Green's oval pipes and plus their intermediates (original can/silencer fell apart). Makes the noise much deeper and lass raspy. Also subdues the pops and bangs but they're certainly still there. May sound daft, but to my ears they sound more 'grown-up'??
I do find that around 3k rpm there's an amount of cabin boom which you get used to in time. This goes at around 3.3k upwards and in fact then gets quite quiet, but you'll be doing 'naughty' speeds by then.
Certainly around town, it is quieter and when I leave for work at 6.00 in the morning it is much less traumatic for the neighbours.
Expensive though.
