Adjusting electric window maximum height?

Hi,
The electric window on the passenger side of my S2 always goes up too far. This means that I have to keep flicking the switch up and down until I get it into the correct position.
I assume there is some way of adjusting the maximum height that the glass will rise to when the button is depressed. I've got the door card off and can't see anything obvious with a cursory glance. Does anyone have any ideas or experience on this?

Hi, I posted a thread about this a couple of years ago after I spent hours trying to sort it out by removing door panels etc. In the end it took 5 mins and no need to remove anything.
The solution is this;
The window is held in place by a metal frame which guides it when it goes up and down but the actual moving up and down is done by a central tube which appears to have some sort of screw mechanism (not the screw you are looking for (and no I am not Alec Guiness)). Anyway, the bottom of the window is attached to this tube by some metal clasp and in the tube at the very to is a stop mechanism when the window reaches the height you want. The mechanism is a small grub screw which has an Allen Key head on it and is smply wound up and down. To access this wind the window all the way to the bottom and pull aside the rubber at the top of the door and peer inside with a torch. You will see the very top of the tube and hopefully in your case the screw protruding from the top of it. Wind this back into the tube and the window will stop at a lower point. Job done.

OK, I admit it, I can't find the grub screw 
Should it be somewhere in this picture. This is taken looking down the window aperture from the top, the inside of the door (door card removed) is on the right. The outside of the door is on th left.

Any help would be appreciated.

its really hard to tell from your pic where it is. However, if you have the door card removed you should easily be able to identify the tube and trace it to the top. It will be in the middle of the door and is about 8mm-10mm across. It has a hole all the way up the middle to which attaches the mechanism that actually winds the window up and down. If you can find that, then that is it. At the top of it should be a grub screw inserted down the tube from the top. You are certainly looking at the right area.

Yep, that looks the same as mine(ish) the adjuster is inside the top of the tube on the right hand side of the runner (which will be at the top of the door). Its hard to see as it may have come out or fallen inside (Mine had, Or it may not even be there on and S2 as Norman said.Pete

Sorry to revive this old subject, but you are spot on with the grub screw. I had an annoying 1.5cm gap at the top of window travel, so was getting soaked. I just about remembered this thread and that the existence of the grub screw at that time was in question. I am happy to confirm the grub screw certainly exists in my V8s and I have adjusted it and am now nice and dry - thankyou, as its saved a LOT of grief. Pete

For the record I'm pretty sure that the issue with my window is that the metal quarter light piece moves up when the window gets to the top of its travel. It can do this because the screw holding the metal to the fibre glass (behind the door card) has cracked the glass fibre right through.
I'll break out the fibre glass and repair it in the spring.
The top of the quarter light is L shaped on my car - I think it is supposed to act as the stop.
