I've got a 2005 '55 plate' M5 that I bought a few weeks ago. It has the TV option, but when I select it I can get pictures for a number of channels, but the only sound I can get is a hiss.

Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, what was the solution?

Thanks,
NL

Is it like that everywhere? Sounds like a poor signal.

Anyone know how to get the TV to operate whilst driving?

I have seen the answer to that on the M5 boards.

Yep. I've tried it in 3 or 4 places and have received clear enough pictures, but no sound other than the hissing frown

Is there a manual tune where you could tweak it?

The M5 has a digital freeview tuner, so I doubt that it would be poor signal causing the "hiss". Maybe pop in to your dealers if it is close by if the car is still under warranty?
