Hi, just a quick question, as the title states anyone know if there is an adjustment to take up any backlash ? My local AA man seemed to think there was, and I have a bit of play in mine.

Yes there is, its a grub screw on top of the rack, however check your UJ's on the steering column for wear and tightness.

Thanks. Top U/J at the bulk head seems a bit sloppy too.

A tiny amount of wear in the UJ's will translate into a lot of play in the steering wheel.

Oh, and they are easy enough to change.

I had mine done in about an hour.
