Hi,

Just a quick question. We have a pending travel insurance claim as my wife fell ill while on holiday and we had to use USA hospitals. If the claim is rejected by the insurance company, what will happen next? Do the USA hospitals have a way of relcaiming the costs becuase we can't afford the bills? We have no reason to believe that it will be rejected but would like to cover every base.

Thanks PH!

Just don't give in to them. Unless you've told porkies then your cover should be fine. If you're getting grief then PM me. Taking money off insurance companies for healthcare is what I do for a living, and also done it from the customer side when my mate was hospitalised in Argentina.

They'll tell you all sorts to try and wangle out of paying, most of it is mince. Just remember that a lot of the time you're dealing with just another call centre chimp.
(Although to be fair the American lassie I dealt with at AXA in the States was ace).
