Thinking of an engine change over the winter so what's my mildy modified crossflow worth if I sell it
Rebuilt 2 years ago
1600 (711) block
Burton A2 cam
Lumenition fitted this year
Twin Dellorto DHLA 40s professionally stripped and rebuilt with new jets in March
Lightened flywheel
New water pump this year
(Still in car at mo)

Any ideas

It's worth what someone will payt for it - stick it on Ebay and see what it fetches.

Given that the carbs on their own are worth a good couple of hundred quid, I'd hazard a guess at around £500-£550 for the full engine.

Might be worth getting it dyno'd though, so that potential purchasers know what sort of power output they're buying.

depends on condition: mileage? whats the compression? how much blow-buy? what says a leakage pressure test? is it dry or loosing oil on every gasket.(which wouldnt being unusual for a 2 year old engine). who built the engine? any receipts to prove that?
