Prbably get knuckles wrapped for this as not posting on TVRCC... but given up with entry palava..

anyway I'm from Herts n Beds reigion and fany taking a long weekend trip down to cheddar gorge....this aint on our doorstep, so was looking at a lon weekend... probably 2 nights B&B nothing fancy, functional clean and tidy.

Idea was driv down B&B one night, chedar gorge run and then depandant who was there would sort the rest of day or off to do own things, next day re run gorge and then home.

Any ineterset... if so I'll give it some serious thoought

Hiya Hoov - I'd certainly be interested (though not this month as a 2k bill looming for clutch, service, MOT & tax).
Theres quite a big TVR contingent over that way who we could possibly meet up with to show us some local roads...

Ok had a thaught about this and am looking at 23rd Oct - 25th Oct

Basis of the plan (subject to change with in put from others... all help welcomed smile )

Depart from somewhere in Herts (TBA) 23/10/09 (Friday) mid morming say 10 - 10:30ish (let the rush hour traffic die down) and amble on down to Somerset trying to avoid the motorways once got round the M25. This will probably take most the day, so some places to stop off need to be planned.

On the 24/10/09 (Sat) I was proposing morning blatt around local roads, taking in Cheddar Gorge and visting Galstonbury etc, leaving the afternoon for anyone who wants to go off and do their own thing. I personally will look at doing a little coastal run as I like the smell of the sea in the afternoon.

On 25/10/09 (Sun) I'll try a get a local Tiv owner to take us a run taking in some of the better roads of the area only the locals would know wink

With regards to accomodation I'm not sure what to do at present as there a number of very nice looking places around the area, however a rough idea of numbers would make the choice easier... or may find a few in the same village so we can just meet up in the pub for a meal n swift half..... So any recomendations would be welcomed as well.

Hopefully this will appeal to some of you.
