The Butcher's Block @ Maze Bar and Grill
Discussion
This was the scene of an excellent meal with clients last night. We had the Chef's menu and let the sommalier choose our wines. At one stage Chef had a couple of people from our group of 10 into the kitchen to cook for a while, bloody hot in there....
The food was excellent, service was excellent, wines were superb and not too pricy. The whole atmosphere was far more informal and relaxed than other Ramsey places, and for me the whole thing worked very, very well.
The set up of the Butcher's Block/Chef's table also made it a very memorable evening. I think I found a new favourite place in London.

It's on Grosvenor Square, north side at the Canadian/Italian embassy end. It is joined to the Marriot which is just around the corner on Duke St.
Our bill was £1650 which was for the Chef's Menu (i.e multi-course tasting menu) for 11 at the Chef's table, and copious bottles of wine, water and included service.
The a la carte menu there is much more reasonable. Ours was a client bash so I wasn't watching the bill....
