Hi, i have just bought a 2002 E46 330d. My previous car was a 2000 E46 320d.
I noticed on my new car that the indicators don't flash when i lock the car. But my 320d did. Can anyone tell me if this is right, or should they still flash like my pre-facelift model did.
If they should, does anyone have any ideas how to sort this.

I believe it's configurable but quite possibly dealer only. It's one of a long list of items that can be coded to the keys. Try the other key to see if it behaves differently.

Check that your BMW actually has indicators. I believe that they were a factory option and most owners didn't spec them.

This, also I believe the flash signifies that the alarm is succesfully set. So, if any boot, bonnet or door is not shut (or a contact has failed) it will never arm. Does the "clown nose" under the mirror flash every few seconds?

Yes the clown nose flashes as normal, all the doors must be shut properly as there is no door open indicator showing on the dash when they are all closed.

Looks like it may be a dealer thing then, dam!!
