Shift lights

I know there a thread somewhere on this, but I can't find it. Is there a specific set of numbers to set the shift lights to? Mine are set low at the moment 4.7, 5.5 and 6.5.

have them set on 6/6,5/7
some people have them set higher

I would suggest setting them lower than that, as you would be pretty much hitting the rev limiter to illuminate the red light and peak BHp and torque would have dropped off sharply by then (unless you have a significantly modified engine).

My peak power (340 bhp at the wheels) is at 7280 rpm just before it runs into the limiter at 7.3k. Dyno verified.

Jammy git ! Is it modified at all ?

My standard 'S' (2004) only makes 327 bhp at the wheels at 6800 then runs out of puff rapidly. Nice straight lines though but slightly rich fuelling. Perhaps a high flow air filter may help ?
