Hello folks.

I wondered if you, like me, have a watch that you moved on and parted with, only to regret it - knowing you will never see it again or find another like it - and now 'she' (er..um I mean it) is sitting on someone else's wrist...

Well here is mine......I wonder where it is now...

I told myself last week I had to let some Swatches at the back of the drawer go before I could buy anything else.

They were never going to be worn, and it was only fair to let someone else have them, I couldn't be ar$ed selling them individually so fleabayed the lot in one hit.

I broke even on them at least, but it was a long walk to the post office.

Swatches might not mean much to you, but I was at the right age at the right time and these were absolute grails for me and were just out of pocket money reach.

I've kept two that I'll never let go.

*sniff*

And I know the black Soto (middle bottom) is on the wrong strap

For me, it would have to be this one

At the time it wasn't getting any wrist-time so decided to let it go. In hindsight, really shouldn't have, but it comforts me to know that it is being loved in her new home and now lives with a fellow PH'er. If you read this Matt, remember I would like first refusal on it should you decide to sell it.

iPhone + Glycine App, will assuage your pensive yearning.

Already have it Andy, but doesn't compete with the real thing. Although saying that, have the opportunity for an Airman 9 in the near future, which I am happy about. But the Airman 2000 was my first Glycine and hopefully will return to me

Probably 90% of the watches I've sold I'd rather not have, but funds & my wifes tolerance are finite.

Tell her to sell her worn out shoes and advertise it as having "plenty of wabi". See how far she gets, then. biggrin

Don't worry Chris I won't forget but the way things are you'll be waiting a long time, it really is a beautiful thing and I haven't seen anything I like more.

For some reason I wistfully remember my first "proper" watch which I was given by an uncle in the navy. I really don't even know why I remember the make since I was only a teenager back in the days of Fred and Wilma, but that Tugaris was chunky, solid, and took all a teenager could throw at it. I guess it is rose coloured glasses but I still remember putting it on the rear deck of the Frogeye while changing after swimming and then driving off and forgetting it. I spent a long time retracing my route but no joy.
