Well it's a Mouse in Rats clothing. 454 cubic inches of pure NA power, allbeit detuned to suit the box.

Amazing, when I first started with chev V8's, the 454 was a humungous iron Big Block, the LS5 version only had a two bolt main.

You can now get 454 inches into an LS2 block.

So yes Richard, a leaf out of your book (or should that be " a chip off the old block"). Darton sleeved LS2 punched out to 4.185 bore and a four and a quarter inch callies crank. It will be a tiny cam though, in order to tame the beast. Mind you, whoever thought that a pair of AFR's finest would be a necessary restriction???

I reckon Redvictor can build the box to take around 550 ft lbs of torque (for a while anyway-thats why I'm having a spare)So that what the thing is going to give 600rwhp and 55o fto lbs.

So yes, a nice xmas present, hopefully and some nice piccies of the build to come. A bit of a paradox herein, but what the hell, you only live once, and a couple of people have said " if you're going to do a stroker, make sure its a big bd!"

454 such a potent sounding number. That alone makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up especially if said in a Marks and Spencer type of voice. V8, Colt 45, 69 all such emotive numbers.thumbup

All Pro LSW Racing Heads

West Coast Cylinder Heads is please to announce the completion of our latest Gen3/Gen4 LS7 style cylinder head. The All Pro LSW head opens a new era in cylinder head flow technology with a whopping 400+cfm of intake airflow and 260cfm of exhaust flow. This 12° head is a hardcore cylinder head built to holdup to severe duty in both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications. Extra material surrounds the intake and exhaust ports to insure that plenty of wall thickness is left after CNC machining. These robust castings are available with a 6 bolt head bolt pattern and also have a 3/4" thick deck for a superior head gasket seal. Both LSX and Warhawk bolt patterns are available.

The reinforced rocker bosses include large 7/16" bolt holes and are staggered drilled for rocker stand stability. The LSW heads readily accept 1.625" diameter valve springs and coupled with Jesel or T&D rocker systems provide reliable operation beyond 8000 rpms. They also have factory located intake and exhaust bolt holes to accept all LS7 style manifolds and header combinations.
