Hi,
just sitting doing some work with the new series on in the background.
I cannot believe the rubbish the BBC churn out on our license fee.
Testing buggies and using a bucking broncho machine to test buggy harnesses and lobbing babies into the scenery.
What absolute dross!!!
and Matt allbright - what a *anker!!

I turned to this programme by mistake (honest). Has Ann Robinson had another face-lift? It would seem she can hardly open her mouth - and yes, the programme is complete dross.

Anne Robinson looks like a robot.

And what's with them two gayboys on the motorbike?

When watchdog started it did a good job exposing scams and really bad treatment.

What it seems to do now is look after idiots and do terrible tests like the pram one.

Utter garbage

And yes AR seems to be a robot.

I have also seen an article today where it has been said Anne won't appear in the same shot as her younger sidekick in case she makes her look fat.

Hmmm - I actually watched the old Campbell Watchdog regularly. Although I'm not a big Campbell fan, it essentially did what it said on the tin, i.e looked at serious consumer issues.

From what people are saying, it looks like the new formula is a bit of a disaster. I heard Robinson being interviewed on the radio and she said that they had taken their inspiration from Top Gear. A serious mistake in my opinion and a good example of the situation where one format might work in one genre, but may not necessarilly work in another.

That explains a lot.

Perhaps they are trying to revive the glory days of "That's Life" - which featured a combination of humour and serious consumer and health topics.

Maybe the programme should be presented by Esther Rantzen rather than Ann Robinson.

I thought at first it was Rod Hull and Emu without Rod. Would probably have been better received too!

At least it's his own (as far as we know).

I know it's raking over old coals, but I started watching Watchdog tonight. fk me it's dreadful.

Does ANYONE think highly of Ann Robinson??? Nicky Cambell was/is a tt and I'd hate to see him back but there has to be a place for a consumer programme with someone half sensible fronting it.

That was awful (again)

The boot thing, ok there is no excuse for shoddy service but how the fk did they expect to get high quality hand made, fitted boots for such a low price? And did they not pay by credit card.

The gayboys on bikes were crap.

Exactly my thoughts, completely stupid. The old format without all this nonsense was much better. Don't understand why they are dumbing down the show.

The majority of people featured on Watchdog deserve to have been conned.
