Hello PHers

I am looking at buying my first Ferrari. I've been recommended the 328 GTS/GTB by a friend (who runs an F355 but they're a bit pricey for me just now). I've seen a 328 GTS QV for sale. Is the "Quattrovalve" any different than the regular 328 GTS? If so, how, and is there anything I should be on the lookout for?

Currently I run an S1 Lotus Elise which I really want to keep, so I'm trying to stick to a budget of £25k for the Ferrari, or near as I can manage anyway. The Ferrari won't be for everyday use, I have an ordinary car for work.

Sounds like the person selling the 'Quattrovalve' doesn't know about 328's!!! They are all 32 valve V8's - only the 308's had the Quattrovalve tag on the end. Should be able to get a good one for your budget but be aware the values are slowly creeping up!
