Gouranga (pronounced /ɡʊˈrʌŋɡə/[1]) is a term popularized by the Hare Krishna movement as a word meaning 'be happy'.
Stickers bearing the word Gouranga or stating "Call out Gouranga and be happy!" began appearing on bridges over motorways and railways in Scotland, the North of England and Wales from the mid-nineties onwards. Stickers and fridge magnets with the phrase have also been handed out by Hare Krishna monks at music festivals throughout the UK, such as Glastonbury and Download.

Good memories.
I loved the view of the Black 911Turbo from the top.
It even had the right Porsche horn sound.
I ran a few lines of them baldy yet ponytailed finger bell ringing orange cloaked freaks, I can tell ya.
Good times

(Or don't).
I pass a bridge on the M1 which is labelled Gouranga. Anyone else seen it around?
What stretch of the M1 is it? There's 3 or 4 bridges round here (Notts) that have had Gouranga sprayed on them for years and years.(Or don't).

I drive under one on the A614 near the old Calverton pit where the pit railway passes over the road on my way to work.
