Help! ....Nikon RAW to JPEG conversion
Discussion
If you didn't get any software with the camera, then for starters try downloading Nikon View NX.
It's free and avaiable from here:

Other than that, have a look on t'internet for software like Lightroom or some of the other free tools which allow you to organise, view and edit photos. Have a look through some of the threads on here for recommendations (I use a Mac with Aperture so not sure what's available in PC Land
).PCs don't come fitted with the appropriate software to view RAW files but you can download this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?Fa...
It is only a viewer however, it will not process them to JPG.
If you don't need the benefits of shooting RAW, then you may well find it simpler to shoot in JPG for now and become more familiar with the camera and photography in general.

Instant JPEG from RAW is a pretty handy tool. And free.

Also I think FastStone should do the job for you. I assume it is OK with all Nikon RAW formats.

Quick, simple and free.
If you really want to get into the wider benefits of RAW files something like LightRoom or LightZone offers more control.
