Sorry for being quiet, been very busy.

FAO Bonnie and Clyde - My e-mail is playing up but finally read your pm (fine with me if you want to do that but I will leave it to you...)

Well guys the Booking form is setup for you to enter and pay for Thunder Road.

http://javelintrackdays.co.uk/jt/inde

When it asks you for a username PLEASE USE YOUR FORUM NAME as it will make it easier to track who has paid/booked.

You can also add your supporter passes here aswell.

Please note that the event is for HSV.Org and invited guests only and as such any non confirmed entries will be cancelled.

Cheers Guys

Phil

Hi Phil. So sorry I am not going to be able to come. My new house move has gone 'tits-up'.

Not sure when we will move now but it will be mid/late October. Due to that I cannot commit to coming over.

Well if you think your`s is louder than Phil`s then you may have a problem mate.
Otherwise you`ll be fine, Phil ran all day with no problem on loud (And it was the summer)

For ref to anyone else with the same concern Phil is running Wortec V Loud with headers.

DonkV8 May have to run in quiet mode though hehe

Shame for those that have dropped out, but the rest of you please get your names down as soon as possible to stop any vagrants filling spaces and having to be turfed out...(oh the joys of the public internet).

Regarding Noise like jez said I ran Loud all day and was fine....remember it is 103Dba at 3/4 revs (circa 4000rpm ) which is pretty loud!!!

I measured the VXR8 (Wortec on loud) last week and it was 101db, but that said be cautious. My old Monaro LS2 with Wortec headers + non adjustable exhaust was 108db and subjectively didnt sound that much louder at 4k revs.

If there is anyone around Watford / Hemel area that wants to check you are welcome to borrow my meter. Cheap and cheerful but it seems accurate. You can also get them on ebay fairly cheaply.

think the best plan is to take the quiet plates along just in case

some cock nearly ruined it at the end of the day in his tvr, took the baffles out and gave a boot full of revs whilst waiting to go. ORganisor simply walked up to him and told him to politely fk off and leave which he did, the guy looked very sheepish and rightly so.

Just went to book this, but is there any further definition around the categories?

Are non HSV cars in 4 and 5 only? If so its being misread.

Also does 'modified' mean mechanicals for this purpose or does exhaust / remap count as modified as well?

Non-HSV are cat 4 and 5. Take the cat from the actual booking form as it is back to front in the introduction.(not that it matters a great deal)

remap and cat back exhaust only will be classed a standard.

Supporters can be added at later stage, sensible limit to number - under 16s free but must be supervised at all times.

On a note to noise, I will bring a spare set of quiet plates and if any one else has spare please bring aswell then at the absolute worst case we can get the spanners out

But I must stress just be gentle on the noise test and you should all be fine...
