Why have I been banned from the lounge???

I had an email notification saying:
Hi speed_monkey,

You have been banned from The Lounge for 7 days for the following reason: for posting a 2000th post thread.

Can I ask as to why I have been banned then? No reason is given in the email and the thread was hardly offensive, at the very least.
