Depends what you want to eat? Loads of places: italian, pubs, chinese, sushi, american, pizza, burgers, etc!

somewhere with a relaxing atmosphere, maybe with some seating outdoors if the weather is good. food wise nothing over £20 per head for a simple lunch.

Try the London St Brasserie - they have a daily 2 course special menu for about £15.

Good food and their wine list is good (albeit a tad on the expensive side).

They have a balcony too which is nice to sit at in the sun.

There is a Nepalese curry house opposite John Lewis - go for the gurkha dish. Seriously.

Not too far to walk is the Bel and Dragon, near Blake's Lock Museum (just the other side of the prison.
Or in the other direction there is a Loch Fyne just a couple of hundred yards "upstream" of the Oracle.

Bel and Dragon is good - their Sunday lunch menu isn't great though. Good shout on Loch Fyne (one of my faves) and Ive heard good things about their Sunday lunch menu (odd considering the traditional Loch Fyne menu)

We'll be waiting for the report smile

It's too late now, but I actually like Bar Ha Ha, normally along with a large does of alcohol mind.

we ended up rushing a bit so didn't have time for any of the suggestions but we went to giraffe and it wasn't bad at all, and quite cheap.

Chilis made me laugh as all the tables look setup and laid ready to open! Ill certainly be popping over again in the future to try out a few of the recommended places.

I've not been since I heard it had shut, so I've not seen for myself. Is it really definitly closed though?

:-(

Food was never great there, but the menu was nice.

Cheers for the confirmation.
