Hope someone can help me.
I am in the process of buying a Clio 182 for the purpose of turning into a Track day Car.
Can anyone recommend a good company in the Windsor/Maidenhead area that I could use to convert the car ( safety cage, suspension and brake upgrades, minor engine mods, seats, harnesses etc), plus also good for ongoing servicing ?

Spoke to them about race prep for the 325 but the distance didn't make sense for me.
They seem very good and do a lot of work for the PBMW series. Not too expensive either for the quality of their work.

What are you looking at having done?
Is the car still to be used on the road or is it just track?
I'd see if there's a bolt-in cage first as that may well be within DIY scope. Strip the interior to lose weight, remove the glass for polycarb, everything you can remove yourself really!
As for suspension etc, depending on how good you are with spanners its not ridiculously difficult.
Its not a bad thing to understand what bits do and how they go together if something goes wrong.
Then all you really require is someone to stick it on scales to set it up.
Saying that if you don't know a ring from open-end, then best leave it to someone else!
I had a 172 on the road and have to say as fun as it was, Im sure its no-where near as much fun as my Rex is (that all in cost less than £3k not including my labour though).
The engines are not "safe" and if you read some of the posts on here and Renaultsport threads, they don't seem to give much of a warning when they're about to let go - new engine here we go.....
I'd guess a 182 would be around the £4k mark? If you're looking for FWD I'd go ITR (if you can find one!) as they're pretty damn solid. Sorry if Ive stolen the thread a little but just my opinion!
